Welcome to Timberwood Paws!We are located in Cincinnati, Ohio. We fell in love with the Shiba breed and wanted to help with the preservation of the standard here in the US in 2019. Since then, we’ve learned to show our shiba in AKC Conformation shows, and have educated ourselves on health issues within the breed. We test our Shibas hips, eyes and patellas to ensure they do not have hip dysplasia, glaucoma or luxating patellas.As of lately, we have been in search of a second breed to add to our kennel. In 2023 we added a Champion titled female Finnish Lapphund. We have enjoyed showing her in our spare time and learning more about the breed. Due to not having local interest in any show homes for Finnish Lapphund puppies, we have decided not to breed our girl yet. That may change in the future but until then, we enjoy trying new activities with her.Our dogs are bred with hopes of always keeping back a puppy for show in our kennel. No litter is perfect (just like no dog is perfect), so we keep the best prospective one and put the remainder of the litter in to pet homes. This would be with limited AKC registration. If you are interested in our puppies, please like our Facebook page to watch for available puppies posted in the future. We would love to speak with you to find out if you may be the right home for our puppies. I do ask for a reasonable deposit to secure your puppy until I meet you in person and you pay your remaining amount. Puppies go home at 8 weeks old. You will receive pictures, videos and/or live video calls throughout the 8 weeks. There is a health guarantee and a spay/neuter agreement that will be sent to you via DocuSign after your deposit is paid.All of my breeding dogs are AKC registered, OFA certified or had preliminaries completed, and Embark DNA tested.
